This book, published by Circo de Ideias, is an anthology about the most significant transformations that have occurred in the urban fabric of Macau, in a study that covers several thematic areas, from 1911 to the present day, with a special focus on the key figures, movements and texts that have informed and animated the architectural discourse of recent decades. Texts about some of the participants and specific buildings alternate with essays dedicated to the discussion of ideas and themes raised for reflection in this publication. The texts are selected by Tiago Saldanha Quadros, while Margarida Saraiva contributes with the selection of images.
