Nuno Portas. 18 Obras Partilhadas
Paulo Providência, Pedro Baía (eds.)
This book, published by Circo de Ideias and edited by Paulo Providência and Pedro Baía, presents 18 works designed between 1957 and the year 2000 by the architect Nuno Portas in co-authorship with several architects with whom he worked, in a selection that intends to focus and document his architecture practice beyond urban planning.
The selection of works was divided chronologically into a structure that groups four different programs – single-family housing, collective housing, equipment and urban design – interspersed by a preface by Bartolomeu Costa Cabral, an essay by Maria Tavares, an interview by Joana Oliveira and an essay by Nuno Grande.
The editorial project was supported by the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage, the Directorate-General for the Arts, the Landscape, Heritage and Territory Laboratory (Lab2PT) of Minho University, the Centre for Social Studies of Coimbra University and EuroBic.
